mp4 tags vanished?

Hi,

I am using exiftool to organize both my pictures and movie files. I was able to read the tag imagesize for my xperia z movies until recently. Now I keep getting shorter outputs with exiftool. I am aware that this is not an exiftool problem, but I maybe someone has an idea what has happened here. The output for two files taken with the same settings and the same camera (xperia z), just a few weeks apart:

Any help on what has happened here and how I could retrieve imagesize would be greatly appreciated!

Odd.  It is hard to believe that another application would strip this much from an MP4.  (I didn't even know it was valid to omit the track header information.)  The first MP4 is 154 MB, and the second is only 12 MB, so some significant editing has taken place.  I think you need to review the editing software that was used in producing the second MP4.

I do not edit these mp4 files, they are transferred right away from my xperia z smartphone to my harddisk. The exif tags for the jpgs that are transferred have not changed, but the exif data for the camera movies is stripped now, compared to a full set of reasonable tags only a few weeks ago. Sony's forum is down for maintenance right now, I will ask them later. I have my doubts though that I will get a reasonable answer from the company.
