I am using GeoSetter version 3.4.16 with ExifTool version 9.39.
Both looks like brillian tools, but I ran into a problem with some of my pictures.

When I am trying to add a Geo Location to my photos (from a Samsung NX210) I get the following warning and error:
Warning: [minor] Overlapping MakerNotes values - E:/.../07167039.JPG
Error: [minor] Suspicious IFD1 offset for XResolution - E:/.../07167039.JPG

As far as I can see, I get the warning for all the photos, but only the error for some of them.

I can not figure out what is causing the error and warning.

Any suggestions?
Is it the pictures or the programs that has errors?

Best Regards

Hi Bjerner,

I think that reading FAQ 15 may help explain things.  Also, FAQ 20 explains what to do if you run into more serious errors.

Unfortunately, errors like this are fairly common in EXIF due to the apparent lack of good programmers knowledgable about the EXIF/TIFF format... ;)
