Hi Phil,
I have a bat file with this command.
exiftool -d  "%%Y-%%m-%%d %%H.%%M.%%S.%%%%e" "-filename<createdate" -k %*

When I try to drag and drop a .MTS file, I get the below error/warning message.
"Warning: No writable tags set from C:/users/.......
0 image files updated
1 image files unchanged

Please let me know how to rename .MTS files like I did for .MOV files.
Kind Regards,
Rahul.
P.S. This is a great tool !!!

Hi Rahul,

You need to copy from a date/time tag that exists in the file.  It seems that CreateDate doesn't exist.  Use this command to see what date/time tags are available:

exiftool -G1 -s -time:all FILE

This is point b in the writing FileName mini-FAQ.

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).

MTS files only have DateTimeOriginal

Thank you  Phil, Warrior One.

Yes , the command that Phil provided helped me identify the date/time tag and update my bat file.
Awesome !!!

And yes, Warrior One, you're right , the tag was DateTimeOriginal.
