Metadata information from RAW (Sony ARW) files

I'm a new user and although I hope to be able to use the tools from within VB 6, I'm just "playing" with the program at command line.  The problem I'm having is that I can get the metadata information from a JPG of the photo (created from a RAW ARW file through Adobe Bridge and Photoshop).  However if I run Exiftool against the ARW file, I'm not getting the data.  I'm sure it must be there since I'm looking at shutter speed, f-stop and iso.  Any help would be appreciated.  Terry

Hi Terry,

I don't know exactly where to start.  What version of exiftool are you using?  What model of Sony camera is it?  What command are you using?  What is the output from the command?

Phil,

Thanks so much for the reply.  Sometimes all a person needs is to know they are going in the right direction.  Suffice to say that my problem was a classic case of Operator Failure and goes to prove that I should not work on new applications late at night after a long day.  After reading your reply this morning, I was able to see the data first try without a problem.  Just for the record, I'm using ExifTools 9.67 and the camera is a Sony NEX-7.
