hello,
just a message to say that I made a package to use exiftool on Synology nas. that tool is as is, I just made it work on the syno by the package center way.
for those who would like to install it, add https://www.cphub.net/ to your package center (it has the Full Trust Level Support from Synology) and then install ExifTool.

by the way, is there a way to be worned by mail when a new version comes out? like a newsletter or something?
and does anybody know where I could get an HD icon of exiftool....cause 100x100 is a little sheap ;-)

thanks

Phil Harvey

You can subscribe to the news feed if you want to be informed of updates.  Or I send mails for production updates -- you can send an email to me (philharvey66 at gmail.com) if you want to be added to this list.

ExifTool doesn't really have an icon.  I tried to make one a long while back but never got one that I liked.  I don't know what icon you're talking about (if the camel, then this is the Perl icon, not ExifTool).

perfect, I'll send you a mail to be added to the list.

for the icon, yes, I was talking about the camel. the one you use is not availlable on the Perl site, I suppose it's an old icon from a compilor or something. anyway, I didn't manage to find it in good quality, so I was asking.
If you have nothing more, I'll keep this one as I want the package to be as close as possible from your release.

thanks
