Hello,

I am trying to populate the meta data fields for images in Photoshop (i.e. when you open the image in Photoshop, and then choose "File Info" from the "File" drop down menu.  I am using a csv sheet with the file names and corresponding meta data fields along with the following ExifTool command:

exiftool.exe -csv="name of csv file" .

My only problem is that most of the fields in Photoshop, except for "Keywords", need to be mapped with words that are different from what they are in Photoshop.  For example, "Description" needs to be indicated as "Caption-Abstract" in the csv.  I'm having trouble finding the correct metadata names to use in the csv file.  If anyone knows where I can find a list of metadata names that will populate Photoshop fields or IPTC fields, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you,
Will

Hi Will,

This is simple:  Just use Photoshop to populate the fields you want, then use ExifTool to extract the information to see where it is.

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).
