The effect of image resolution in process of adding metadata

Hi all,

I want to ask you about metadata. Does image resolution give an effect in process of adding metadata? I have tried some experiment like adding metadata from csv file to image metadata using import in exiftool. The result makes me confused, I am not sure about it.
Please help me to figure it out.

ExifTool does not affect the image.  (If this is what you were asking.)
