The module GoogleMaps not show the map, why?

I found the same today, it is annoying to loose such a great feature especially as I only discovered this really useful tool 3 weeks ago.  I notice Google Maps when viewed by a browser has changed, so I wonder if they have done something that has broken ExifGUI's access to the maps.

As a workaround I have added GPSLatitudeRef, GPSLatitude, GPSLongitudeRef and GPSLongitude to the Workspace. I populate GPSLatitudeRef with either N or S, and GPSlongitudeRef with either E or W. I get the actual Latitude and Longitude position in decimal from browser version of Google Maps. That works in a similar way in that if you click on the location you want a pin and a box with the co-ordinates appears.  If you click on the co-ordinates they appear in the search box from where you can copy and paste them into ExifGUI.

Not elegant, but it means I can carry on tagging my photos for now.

Both last versions of GeoSetter, 3.4.16 and 3.4.51 beta, still seem to work without problems. But I will miss this feature in ExifGUI.

Ermmm... It's working for me tonight once more!

jacal

You are right, it is working at the moment. Google fooling around as usual. Wait and see.
