I am interested in finding an easy way to give my video files (mostly mp4 recorded via Android) titles that will be recognized when I upload them to Flickr and Google Photos.   With JPGs I make the title field equal to the file name and a general description that applies to all the photos shot during an event or time period (e;g., "name.jpg Trip to Bahamas").  I have used EXIFGui to do that successfully on multiple files.

I have not been able to do the same for videos.  I have seen in the documentation that the field I want to update (quick time title) via EXIFTool is not writable.  I am able to update the filed via the Windows Property/details dialogue box or by using MediaMonkey.  My questions is why the title field cannot be updated via EXIFTool   (btw -- I do update the XMP Title field but it is not recognized as a title field in windows).

ExifTool only has limited write ability in video files.  The main reason for this is that video formats are a complete mess, and documentation is poor to non-existent.

I'll keep trying to find a way to automate it.  Mediamonkey has scripting so that may be an alternative.  Thanks.
