list files in folder as they are processed

When working on a file full of folders, exiftool can take quite a while the process, making it look as if "nothing is happening."  Is there a way to tell exiftool to display the list of files as they processed?  Turning on -v creates a much more detailed output than I am interested in for this purpose.

Thanks very much!  The ExifTool documentation is excellent, among the best I've seen, but that completeness means it's often hard to find what one is looking for!
