Is it possible to install/run ExifTool at the system level versus the user level?  We have a studio of about 15-20 computers and photographers that rotate between machines frequently (as well as many freelancers coming in and out).  It would be really useful if we could install ExifTool once per computer versus each time a user logs onto a computer for the first time.

It would be useful to know what system you are using and what installation technique you used, but I think for all platforms (Windows, OS X, Linux) the current install techniques should allow all users to run ExifTool.

All computers are running OS X and we've just been using the OS X Package installer.  I guess that I assumed (mis-read some documentation/forum post) that /usr/local/bin was a user level folder, but sounds like I may have assumed incorrectly?

Yes.  /usr/local/bin is system level.
