I have a damaged CR2 file. I cant open or preview the file.
I tried to use exiftool and it shows that Preview Image: (Binary data 2781636 bytes, use -b option to extract).
It seems like there is data but i am unable to extract it.

Please help guys.
Thank you .

Try the command mentioned here.

If you're on Windows, use CMD, not Powershell.  PS will corrupt binary redirection.

If you're willing to share, upload on dropbox, google drive, etc, and post a link, someone here can take a closer look to see if anything can be saved.

* Did you read FAQ #3 and use the command listed there?
* Please use the Code button for exiftool code/output.

* Please include your OS, Exiftool version, and type of file you're processing (MP4, JPG, etc).

I tried to use the
exiftool -a -b -W %d%f_%t%-c.%s -preview:all dir

it shows that
1 files could not be read
0 output files created.

I took a look at the image but it is only 10K, way too small for a Canon raw file, even too small for preview.

I'm sorry, but it looks like your file got corrupted somehow. Do you have a backup?
