How to copy filenames into .jpg metadata?

Nope, I don't have another tool.  A decent command line video metadata editor is something I've been hunting for for a  long time.

I'm under Win 10 now, but I believe I was using Win 8 at the time, so it appears to be a change since then.  My test just now confirms your result.
* Did you read FAQ #3 and use the command listed there?
* Please use the Code button for exiftool code/output.
 
* Please include your OS, Exiftool version, and type of file you're processing (MP4, JPG, etc).
