Hello,

I'm a bit confused. I will copy GPS data from one XMP file to another.
I tried
exiftool -overwrite_original_in_place -tagsFromFile SOURCE -gps:all DESTINATION
but it doesn't work. I receive always "Warning: No writable tags set from SOURCE"

It work only with this command but why?

exiftool -overwrite_original_in_place -tagsFromFile SOURCE -GPSLatitude -GPSLongitude DESTINATION

The "GPS" group is EXIF GPS only.  The XMP GPS tags are actually in the "XMP-exif" group:

> exiftool a.jpg -gpslatitude -a -G0:1
[EXIF:GPS]      GPS Latitude                    : 12.400000
[XMP:XMP-exif]  GPS Latitude                    : 12.400000 N
[Composite]     GPS Latitude                    : 12.400000 N

... confusing I admit.

So try this to copy the XMP GPS tags:

exiftool -overwrite_original_in_place -tagsFromFile SOURCE "-xmp:gps*" DESTINATION

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).
