Does ExifTool have problems with Jpeg on OS X?

I've come across this website : https://exiftool.org/mistakes.html

However. i want to know weather it will give loss of quality over the original jpeg and/or issues with OS X

I'm choosing to do the -overwrite_original_in_place option, having tested and all meta data is wiped using -all= tag.

I don't see how your reference to the "common mistakes" page is applicable here.

ExifTool will not cause a loss of image quality on any platform.

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).

Your command does remove the ICC_Profile, which may change the visual appearance of the image.  No image data is lost or changed, but the colors may appear less vibrant on a Mac.
"It didn't work" isn't helpful. What was the exact command used and the output.
Read FAQ #3 and use that cmd
