Hi! New to the forum, but been using ExifTool for a number of years to batch write metadata into our raw files. Recently we've made a switch to storing EIP files, rather than IIQ's. I'd love to be able to write IPTC data in the EIP format, would be a large time savings for processing!

Thanks!

Hi Ben,

I assume you mean XMP-format IPTCcore, probably not IPTC IIM.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Currently ExifTool doesn't support writing to any ZIP-based formats, and the demand is pretty small, so I wouldn't expect this feature would be added in the near term.

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).

Correct, the XMP IPTC data. Sorry, should have clarified in the OP. I imagine that in addition to the small demand, it's not the easiest feature to add!

Thanks for the excellent tool, it's become invaluable for our day to day operation!
