Hi everyone,
I searched the forum but I only found a solution for windows and I'm not able to adapt it for mac.
I would like to move the xml files to the trash after they have included the data in the jpg.
I arrived at this point:

Thanks in advance

Phil Harvey

This command is carefully crafted to move the same XMP files as used in your other command to the MacOS Trash bin:

/usr/local/bin/exiftool -directory=/Users/Claudio/.Trash -ext jpg -srcfile %d%f%c.xmp -r /Users/Claudio/Desktop/foto_test/paulista

The "%c" is necessary in case XMP files in different directories have the same name.

Just 2 points:

1. In your screen shot it looks like you may be running your command on all XMP files in the paulista directory, which would be wrong.  You need to run this command only once to process all files.

2. -ext jpg is not case sensitive, so adding -ext JPG is redundant.

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).

I try to apply your directions,
thank you very much, Phil  :)
