character limit in IPTC photoshop keywords

Is there a character limit in exiftool (or perhaps Photoshop) as far as the length of what the keywords in the Photoshop keywords field can be.  I'm using exiftool (fantastic app) to set the keywords in the photoshop keywords field and it cuts off my text at around 66 characters.  I can type more text manually in Photoshop (file info) but exiftool seems to limit it to 66 characters.  Can I change this?
