Hi all,

I've been using exiftool to add GPS tags for a long time now and it has always worked great. However, I found recently that Lightroom 4 does not recognize the GPS tags added directly to NEF files.

Is there any way to get Lightroom 4 to recognize it? Some alternative way of using exiftool to add GPS tags to NEF files, maybe?

Perhaps this is a question better asked in a LightRoom forum.

Is this an xmp versus exif problem?  Just a guess.
I don't think that's the case. GPS metadata is standardized for Exif, so every serious software should be able to pick that info from there in first place. I don't use Lightroom, so I can't say if it's user error or LR bug.
