Hi,

I regularly use the exiftool direct predefinet sets I created. Those show up in the dropdown (I guess it's actually a drop"up").
This currently expands to show 8 sets. Since I have many more I need to scroll through this list which is a little timeconsuming.

I wonder if the length of this dropdown field couldn't be made configurable somehow, so its possible to show a lot more entries there. It seems the limit of 8 shown lines is deliberate.

Hi,

Yes, you're right. This will be changed in next update. Thank you for pointing on that.

That would be wonderful.  :) :)

Do you think there is a way to tell GUI to start off the exiftool-direct commands with a specific one or the one chosen last?

Background:
When I start GUI I usually run one standard command set over all my new pictures. GUI always start with a blank line there, no set chosen no entries.

If GUI would remember or start with the user chosen standard/default command set that would be also more convenient.
For me it even could be just the topmost entry, as I can sort the entries in the ini files by hand.

Just any way to reduce the number of clicks required to get there.

Ok, here's what I have changed:

Number of predefined ETdirect command lines shown, is increased to 16. I don't use a lot of predefined commands, so I can't say if that's enough. If you need even more, then I'll rethink about making an option in Preferences.

Two buttons have been added to ET direct panel:
^Default -by clicking on this button, currently selected predefined command will be selected by default each time GUI starts.
Deselect -sets predefined commands combo-box to "nothing selected". This button is needed in case user changes his mind and would rather start with empty command line. In this case, he first "Deselect" command and then sets "^Default".

Next update will be available in a day or two.

My observation of apps from Adobe and others is that an MRU of 30 tends to be the max value in the MRU.
