Hello Phil!

Sorry for my English but I need to ask! :)

I have Nikon D700 and some time I have portion of files with normal size but any convertors I know can't open it. My camera is not supported by Fix Corrupted NEF. Can You give me an advise? What can I do?

Phil Harvey

How did the files become corrupted?  Was it a memory card problem?

I haven't yet seen D700 images that have been corrupted by transfer with Nikon software, which is what fix_corrupted_nef is designed to repair.

Yes, it's probably memory card error (problem). So I have no chance to fix those files?

Phil Harvey

It is rare to be able to recover from memory card problems.  Often the files contain all zeros or random garbage.

But if part of the file is intact, usually the most that can be recovered is a preview image.

If you send me a sample I'll take a look (philharvey66 at gmail.com)
