Difficulty!

So, downloaded exiftool and the camel now sits on the desktop.

I'm not exactly literate in this kind of work, and am having problems with moving the .exe file to the c/windows directory. In fact I don't know what that means!

Naturally I tried the cmd but I get - 'exiftool is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file'

I know I'm doing wrong, but could I be steered in the right direction please!

Hi Richard,

How you run ExifTool depends on what you want to do.

Just drag and drop an image file onto exiftool(-k).exe to see the metadata.  See the Running ExifTool section of the ExifTool home page for more information.

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).
