Question about minor warnings

I seem to have a lot of files that when I run exiftools on them it throws a minor warning about fixed incorrect URI or adjusted makernotes base.

Only problem is as I keep cycling over the same files, I keep seeing the same warnings even though it says it's fixing/adjusting them.

Do I need to add another switch for it to actually fix those minor ones, so next time I run through the files, it won't throw those warnings?  or does it just take a few passes before it fully fixes them and this is normal behavior?

What command are you using?  Warnings may be emitted when reading or writing.  If emitted when reading, the file isn't repaired.  If it says "fixed" when writing, and the metadata actually gets written (eg. you changed something in the metadata), then it only takes one pass to fix the warning.

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).

I'm guessing that the "incorrect URI" is due to Microsoft not following their standards (see this thread).

It is only a minor warning and won't affect how any program operates.  Perfectly fine to ignore it.

But if you want to get rid of the warning, this is the command I used to fix it, before I threw my hands up and got rid of the Microsoft stuff ;)
exiftool -P  -overwrite_original -if "$XMP-microsoft:all" -XMP-microsoft:all= -tagsfromfile @ -XMP-microsoft:all

"It didn't work" isn't helpful. What was the exact command used and the output.
Read FAQ #3 and use that cmd
Please use the Code button for exiftool output

Please include your OS/Exiftool version/filetype

I was doing this as part of a loop, so not actually writing anything to it, I guess that's my problem right?  It's not causing any problems or anything, just saw the warning message say fixed so wanted to ask.

exiftool -s3 -Description "$image"
