NEF Problems USB ExifTool GUI?

While everything has worked OK using USB ExifTool GUI on WinXP I got an Error Message "Windows cannot open this file:" when tried to open a NEF.

What do I need to add to open NEFs?

Hi Ken,

Here I have NEF examples from D40, D60, D200 and D700 camera and everything works fine -I'm running GUI from HDD, but this shouldn't make any difference.
Does error message occur on all NEF files you have? Do folders and/or NEF filenames contain some country specific characters? Try to move NEF file(s) into another folder... Have you tried using Exiftool directly? What result do you get?

Made a mistake in my wording.

ExifTool GUI shows the data OK (same as Exiftool) for NEFs.

The problem is ExifTool GUI is Not showing the small lower left preview NEF image like it does with JPGs.

Am thinking it is a Windows Problem?
