save the filter list

Hello

I am using Exiftool v12.27 + Exiftool Gui v 5.16.0.0
I modified the filter list previously in one step and it worked even after closing Exiftoolgui.
If I click now edit and enter + save new values in filter list, the modified list is valid only until I close the programm.
When I close Exiftool Gui it says: "Exiftoolgui: Cannot save Gui settings".
It has always says that (I think) but the problem is that my modified list is not there anymore... I remain always with my original list I once did from now on.
I tried many ways but never work now...
Any idea to really save the filter list or to avoid the cannot save Gui settings while closing ?

Hi Thibaud,

It sounds like the settings file may have a format error, which could be causing your problems.  Is the filter list stored in the settings file?  If so, try renaming the settings file and starting again from a new one.  If you edit this file, be sure you are using a plain text (ASCII) editor.
