macOS 11.5.1 Photos.app fails to show added Caption in Sony ILCA-68 .jpg

A Big Sur Photos.app issue with only Sony ILCA-68 .jpg images.

Big Sur 11.5.1 Photos.app fails to display the 'IPTC:Caption-Abstract' or 'XMP-dc:Description' in Sony ILCA-68 .jpg while 'IPTC:Keywords' or 'XMP-dc:Subject' is displayed correctly. (Caption and Keyword added with GraphicConverter 11.5.1).

Rebuilding metadata does not help.

exiftool -all= -tagsfromfile @ -all:all -unsafe -icc_profile .

GraphicConverter's "Remove Camera data only..." fixes this but it deletes way too much metadata.

Is there a less destructive command to try to fix this? exiftool output from a sample file below:

GraphicConverter's "Exif Specifics > Delete Exif Image Description tags" fixes this by removing the empty 'IFD0:ImageDescription' which Photos prioritizes for some reason.

Or the same via exiftool:

exiftool -m -P -overwrite_original_in_place -IFD0:ImageDescription= .

Glad you figured it out because I had nothing to offer.

Since I absolutely hate having empty entries in my data, I have a command along these lines (actually a bit more complex, but still the basic idea)
exiftool -iptc:all-= -xmp:all-= -exif:all-= /path/to/files/

This will remove empty entries without touching the other tags.
