Exiftool for Synology DSM 7.0

After upgrading Synology DSM to v. 7.0, I need to repair/reinstall Exiftool. When I try this I get the following error message:
Invalid file format. Contact the developer of the package

The original creator of that package, Nexius2, no longer has a Synology and cannot update it.

You'll have to manually install exiftool.  See the Unix install instructions.
