My understanding is that Dublin Core Terms (dcterms) in the /terms/ namespace are "XMP Qualifiers"?  I know ExifTool does not yet support them.

https://www.dublincore.org/specifications/dublin-core/dcmi-terms/

I'm trying to solve the problem of provenance, and unfortunately the most robust solutions appear to be PROV and dcterms.  PROV I find to be bloated and with a decent learning curve.  That leaves me with little room...

How difficult would support for dcterms be?  Does any other metadata library support them?  I don't even know what XMP qualifiers are!  I cant seem to find any files with dcterms embedded anywhere.

XMP qualifiers are a pain in the ass because they don't conform to the ExifTool -TAG=VALUE model.  To implement them, I would probably have to treat these as structures and hack the ExifTool -struct feature somehow.  It is on my list of things to do, but probably isn't something that will get done soon.

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).

I can imagine!  I don't even know of any other namespace using them.  I guess DC wanted to remain betrothed to the big 15 or something?  Strange!
