cr3 files not reflected in charts on a Windows 11 pc.

When I run ExifTool GUI on a folder which contains Canon cr3 files from my EOS R, it will show the cr3 files in the filelist tab, including a preview and exif info etc.  But, if I switch to the chart tab in the same folder there are not any files shown, regardless of which type of chart I select.  Of course, if there are jpegs or tiffs in that folder it will show those in the resulting charts, but not cr3 files.  Even if I choose "All" in the file type, it still doesn't reflect cr3 files in the result.  Therefore, if the folder only has cr3 files, it does not generate a chart.

I am using Windows 11 and can view the cr3 files in Windows Explorer, including previews so I have the codec installed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As per the stickied thread in this sub forum, the Exiftool GUI hasn't had support from its author in about a decade.
"It didn't work" isn't helpful. What was the exact command used and the output.
Read FAQ #3 and use that cmd
Please use the Code button for exiftool output

Please include your OS/Exiftool version/filetype
