What ExifVersion value should be used?

About the subject:
Assume I have image file which doesn't contain any metadata (for example, after executing "-All="). Now I decide to enter some new exif tags (AllDates, for example).

And the question(s): is it required/recommended to enter "ExifVersion" tag too, or this tag doesn't matter at all? If I decide to define "ExifVersion", what value should be used (as ExifTool is creator of exif section)?

I hope my question is understandable.

Hi Bogdan,

Exiftool automatically adds an ExifVersion with a value of "0220"
if necessary (ie. when you write anything to the ExifIFD and the
ExifIFD didn't already exist).
