Hi all,

I've noticed that some of the photos from my Canon Powershot A610 come with weird ISO values, such as 141. This is strange as this camera only has 50, 100, 200, 400 and auto ISO modes. In one shot in Night Snapshot mode and auto ISO exiftool tells me: Shutter Speed 1/15, Aperture 2.8, Metering Mode Evaluative, Exposure Compensation 0, ISO 141, Auto ISO 283, Base ISO 50. I'm not sure but I guess this only happens with auto ISO.

Any clues?

Many cameras are able to set ISO values between the normal
stops when in auto ISO mode, and newer PowerShot models
certainly have this ability.  Note also that exiftool does not
round off maker notes values such as ISO, Shutter speed, etc,
so sometimes you will see things like 1/64s instead of 1/60s
(see
FAQ
#4
for more information).

I hope this helps.

Thanks, Phil.

And keep up with the good work.

Exiftool is awesome!
