grumble grumble Nikon movie editor

The movies from my Nikon D7000 contain a datetimeoriginal and timezone information in the maker notes.  When creating a smaller movie with the movie editor in NikonviewNX, the maker notes are destroyed  :(

What about editing in camera?  Does that destroy the maker notes?

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).
