hi
i am trying to edit the exif in some photos that my father deleted of his memory card,
i get to the spot i need to edit and click save and i keep getting this error.

i am trying to send you a screen shot of the error message but your server
gives me another error message.

i am running windows 7 64bit ultimate, any ideas on how to fix this.

Well, you haven't given me much to go on.

1) I don't know what the error is.

2) ExifTool doesn't have a "save" button.

Are you perhaps talking about the ExifTool GUI?  If so, you should post a question with a bit more information in that section of the forum.

Edit: Topic moved from the Install section to the ExifTool GUI section.
...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).

it does have a save button, load the program, select a picture,
on the right click on exif, then click on the first ^ button
make your changes then click save
error reads
Error: [minor] MakerNotes offset may be incorrect (fix 0r ignore?) - PICTURENAME.jpg
0 image files updated
1 files wern't updated due to errors

now if this is the incorrect way to editor the exif
please let me know if it is not then you dont know much
about this program as you dont know about the save button

Try checking "Ignore existing minor errors" in the Options menu.
