I just downloaded Rawzor file compressor (beta 0.47) from their site, but compression doesn't work anymore (beta expired, it says). It's been over a year since last Rawzor (beta) version and there's no further notice. It seems to be dead project...

Not to surprising if this is the case.  I should probably drop the rawzor support.

Hi Phil,
I have found this post by coincidence:
http://encode.ru/threads/1261-Rawzor-how-does-it-work?p=24768&viewfull=1#post24768
-even I don't recognize much hope for further Rawzor developement (almost a year passed since this post).

Anyway, I've tried out Exiftool on rwz file, but Exiftool only shows tags described here:
http://www.exiftool.org/TagNames/Rawzor.html
On this page, you write:
"As well as the information listed below, exiftool uncompresses and extracts the meta information from the original image."
From this, I assumed, that ExifTool shows metadata of compressed image directly from rwz file -which seems not to be the case. Not that big deal, considering status of Rawzor developement. It's just, that maybe you should be more specific in above statement to avoid confusion.

Hi Bogdan,

Actually, I got an email from the Rawzor author on September 5, 2011 in which he indicated that he was still actively developing Rawzor and was planning a new release within a few weeks.  He said he would keep me updated, but I haven't heard anything since then.
