Thanks!  I'm not sure how I got this wrong, but I checked and you're quite right!

This will be fixed in version 8.91.

Edit:  Hold the phone.  I was checking with the latest version of DPP and found other inconsistencies too (like number 12 -- ExifTool gives "Pan focus", but DPP gives "Vivid").  What is your source of information?  DPP?  Or do you actually own the camera?  If so, what camera model?  This may take some work to sort out this inconsistency.

OK.  I found a sample "Toy Camera Effect" image for an IXUS 240 HS, and the EasyMode value is 58.  This also agrees with the DPP 3.11.26 decoding, so this is definitely correct.

I'll still looking for samples with EasyMode values of 11, 12, 13, 14 and 59 (Black & White, Pan Focus, Vivid, Neutral and Scene Intelligent Auto or High-speed Burst HQ), because DPP disagrees with ExifTool's decoding of these values.

Thanks for the quick reply and I'm glad I found you a bug.  You have an outstanding program btw - I love it.

I might be able to help you with samples for Black & White, Vivid, Neutral and High-Speed Burst HQ plus a new one called Smooth Skin (value 61).  I say might as when I take the pictures with the first three above (B&W, V and N) they appear as Manual in the Easy Mode setting.  However on my older Canon camera, they appear under Photo Effect correctly and my new Canon camera, they appear under MyColorMode correctly.  If that makes sense and you want the samples, I'll be glad to send, just leave me an email on where to send them.

Thanks

Great!  Thanks for this missing value!  (Canon DPP doesn't yet recognize values of 61 or higher, so I couldn't get these from DPP)

I suspect your older camera may isn't old enough to produce EasyMode values in the range 11-14.  However, if you could check the High-speed Burst HQ value it would be useful.  And please let me know if you find any other inconsistencies or missing values.

Thanks!!

You are correct regarding my older camera - no EasyMode.  As for the High-Speed Burst HQ it works just fine.  Here's a sample ouput:

File Name                       : img_4162.jpg
Camera Model Name      : Canon PowerShot SX240 HS
Create Date                   : 2012:05:04 09:13:10
Shooting Mode               : High Speed Burst HQ
Easy Mode                     : High Speed Burst HQ  :)
Aperture                        : 3.5
Shutter Speed               : 1/1000

Great, thanks for this confirmation!
