Readeble names for custom tags?

Hi all.
I noticed that if I have in my home directory .ExifTool_config file with custom tags than exiftool shows readable tag name in output, e.g. "MyNewTag". But if I try to list all tags on computer without such config file, than instead readable names I get only HEX id's. Is it possible to show readable tag names even if there is no config file?
