Extracting Geotag information from the video

I wish to know can i use the exiftool to extract the geotag infromation from a video. and what type of video format  is support.

ExifTool should extract any GPS information that exists in the metadata of any video container format.  However, GPS may also exist in the video stream, but ExifTool only extracts GPS from the video stream of M2TS videos.

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).

Can it extract the GPS info from the FFMPEG formate or avch264 and where can i get information if i want to use it  program it.
