Hello,

Is it possible to programmatically swap IFD0 group name with SubIFD by renaming each to the other?

I'd like to try to fool Davinci Resolve Lite into "seeing" the full raw resolution file in DNG, rather than as it does now, defaulting to measly 256x171 thumbnail referred to in IFD0.   I'm using Nikon V1 in burst mode which does 30 full res raw NEF files, which are then converted to DNG files using Adobe DNG converter in batch mode.

Interestingly, although Resolve does not officially support sequentially numbered DNG files, it actually plays them fine as a clip, does grading and renders the result, BUT all with the low res thumbnail instead of the almost 4K raw.  OK it's only 1.25 seconds max of each clip, due to capture at 30fps and playback at 25fps :-)

cool though if it were to work....and frustrating while it doesn't!

Hi Tim,

It would be cool if you could do this, but you can't use ExifTool to play with the image data like that.
