PRISM image metadata (pmi) support?

Looking how to properly tag my images, I came across the pmi spec that isn't yet supported by exiftool (the xmp only has prism, prl and pur). Some of these tags do look mighty useful for describing stills and cannot be found in other standards like PLUS:

Btw PRISM is actively working on their specs, but pmi isn't updated with 3.1 so if it's added now to exiftool it probably doesn't need to be updated soon.

Thanks.  I'll add this and update to the PRISM 3.0 spec.

The PRISM XMP specification is really badly written.  There a a lot of cut-and-paste errors, omissions, and the XMP properties are not very well defined and the structure sometimes changes from previous versions.  All this means that there is wiggle room for interpretation errors, and the XMP is therefore not going to be completely interoperable -- just a warning.

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).

Yeah, I noticed that - even a lot of their spec links lead to 404 errors, makes you wonder how many people are working on this. I'd rather use your xpm tags page for reference :-)

Terrific, that was quick, unbelievable how fast you can dig through these specs! I'll try to notify you once the 3.1 spec becomes final, if I happen to stumble upon it. There are changes in the rights and contract department, though personally I somewhow currently find PLUS more appealing unless it gets really complex (which is probably why PLUS in in Lightroom, and PRISM isn't).

And generally: Thanks a lot again, you and ImageMagick (as essential oss apps for image handling) get my award for the most responsive and nicest forums ever :-). Pity that IM doesn't have the dev power to push their 7.0 branch, but other than that, both these tools are a showcase why oss can be so much better than commercial tools. Now if Perl just wouldn't have this huge startup overhead ... :-p
