Hi

I've now used exiftool for a few months on Yosemite, all good. Running the public beta 3 of El Capitan I've got it working after a reinstall, but it seems very slow (maybe about 20% of its previous speed) when running through a bunch of files. Pointing it at a directory containing the same number of files seems back to normal speed.

Any known reason for that?

I can see no reason why El Capitan should be slower.

But I don't understand your post.  You say it is slower, but "back to normal" when you run it on a directory with the same number of files???  (Of course, I would expect it to run at 20% of its previous speed if you run it on a directory with 5x the number of files.)

...where DIR is the name of a directory/folder containing the images.  On Mac/Linux/PowerShell, use single quotes (') instead of double quotes (") around arguments containing a dollar sign ($).
